Every wedding day is special to us, but this wedding was especially important to us since we've known the bride, Julie, since Jenny and Julie were in Junior High together. Somewhere, we're sure, there is evidence of the two of them from an impromptu photoshoot in front of twelve year old Jenny's orange bedroom wall. Julie and Zach planned their dream wedding, only to have their plans interrupted by the best of news: Julie was expecting a miracle baby. So, they married each other in a quiet ceremony and agreed to have the wedding this June instead. What a blessing it was to have their sweet baby girl there with them on their wedding day.
And with new priorities and responsibilities as parents, they changed their wedding plans and moved it to the gorgeous Dos Picos County Park. When Julie brought us to see the park and show us the areas that were important to her, we could tell how excited she was to be getting married amidst the oak trees, in front of the lake, in a park where their closest friends and families could not only gather to celebrate, but also stay the night. We were equally thrilled to be included in a wedding anticipated with so much joy.
In fact, we were extra excited because Julie was actually the first person to ask us to photograph a wedding. We initially said no because we didn't have enough experience and wanted her to have a strong photographic team to capture the fun loving day we knew she would share with Zach. After spending the year getting the experience we felt we needed to do their wedding day justice, it was such a privilege to be able to photograph their wedding, since they had faith in us as wedding photographers before we did.
Just like we are sure the rest of their lives will be, their wedding say was filled with love, laughter, and a few well timed tears. Julie and Zach’s fun loving nature shined through the entire wedding. The dance floor was packed all afternoon as their family and friends shared in the fun.
Julie and Zach, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding. We love you both. Congratulation to the Krafts!
